Movie night? Movie night??? I was going to invite you to come over and watch the semifinal matches, U.S.-Honduras at 6 and Panama-Colombia at 9. I guess you're out, though.

Thanks for the congrats. It was a nailbiter. Had Panamá not been without two starters, including their best midfielder (Medina), I think they would have won with ease. As is, I think they should have won in regulation. South Africa snuck in the tying goal less than a minute after Penedo, the Panamanian goalkeeper, had been sprawling on the ground for over three minutes with a blow to the head. He was clearly a bit disoriented on the goal (and took another blow to the head on the play to boot). Then in the penalty kick, the ref allowed one of the South Africans a second attempt at a goal he'd had blocked. I've never seen that before and was cursing at my t.v.

Anyway, Thursday's game should be a good one. We'll find out if the first game 1-0 victory over Colombia was a fluke or not.

She even moved to a colder climate so you wouldn't have to sweat profusely and die when you come to visit. sheesh. For what it's worth, he can't even do that. Last time I saw Jim, he tried to check his voicemail from both my cellphone and my land line and it wouldn't let him login.
Normally, I'd be right along with everyone else, bitching that Jim's being an ass and avoiding people. But when I am sitting RIGHT THERE and using his phone and *I* can't get it to work... whatever. He's not full of shit on this one. He doesn't even have it anymore, so I wouldn't get on his case about it.

I wasn't really bitching at him or getting on his case. I've known him for so many years and he should know that I'm kidding and just miss him. So no reason to get down my throat. So you can relax.

I just find it annoying when people decide to rant in a public forum about personal issues with people; I feel those things are better left to email. This is the first time I've noted you doing it (that I remember) but it's far from the first time I've seen someone do this to Jim in his LJ. I also don't really enjoy seeing my friends being accused of things that I know aren't true, even if people are "just kidding." The number of people I've heard complain or had CALL ME and complain is outrageous. Jim may exaggerate at times and he may decide to avoid the world for a while, but I thought I'd say that I know that that's not what's going on right now. That's why I said anything.

I'm not sure what this has to do with Jim, or with you knowing him, though. He didn't know I left that comment and probably would've told me not to if he had known.

I suppose that answers the question of why Jim has not called me back. I was up in Boston for the T@F One-Acts this past weekend & left you a few messages. Actually I was still waiting for my callback from movie night last month. Good thing I wasn't holding my breath partner. Send me an e-mail or something, you silly son of a bitch.
